The guide to investing in locally controlled forestry has emerged out of 11 international dialogues where more than 400 people have participated. Representatives of family forestry, local communities and indigenous peoples have taken an active part in developing the guide. There have been representatives from IFFA, GACF and IAITPTF.The document is a practical guide to enabling investments and preparing the ground for asset investments. The guide aims at investors as well as local rights holders, governments and civil society. The core of the guide is a roadmap to successful support and investments in locally managed forestry.
